I've got a niece!!

Lucy Frances was born on 3-27, and weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz, 19 1/2 inches long. Erin did an amazing job, specially since she didn't get the waterbirth she was going for...only a 7 1/2 hourish labor. We are SOO happy she's here and we are just loving her to death. We'll be taking over dinner tonight and will let the kids meet her then, so I'll be sure to snap lots of pictures then. :) Mom and I got to see her about an hour after she was born so she was all fresh and wonderful...and I'm so thankful Erin let us hang out for a bit before we left...I'm so proud of my sister and of my niece..! Oh and Wesley...he did a lot too. haha

Don't know about you..

But I want to see this...not sure if I'm willing to pay to see it in Theaters(cause, we're cheap) but it looks beyond rent worthy.

Its called Babies and it chronicals 4 different babies in 4 different countries for their first year of life...I love the end of the trailer where the goat is getting the baby. :)

Race details..

Its May 15th, its called the Brookhaven Bolt. It benefits a school that one of my Trinity Vineyard mom friends' children go to. If this one goes well, I will probably look into doing more for different causes as well.

Its begun...

I needed to do something that had a time limit to it, in terms of getting back into shape. But I wanted something achievable so that I wouldn't feel like a failure if I wasn't up to par by when I wanted to...so I signed up for a 5k yesterday..I'm really really excited about it but also totally feeling like I was out of my mind to even think of doing this. I'm doing it alone, which kind of sucks, but I really want to make a go of it. So I started training and I'm doing the Couch to 5k program which eases you into being able to run the entire 3.1 miles. Seeing as I can barely run a few minutes without wanting to puke my guts out this should be interesting...

Today I had a 5 minute warm up walk, then I alternated running 60 seconds and walking 90 seconds for 20 minutes followed by another 5 minute cool down walk. It sounded SO SO easy when I looked at the program but it seriously pushed me today. Tomorrow is a rest day, but Thursday will have the same workout. Hoping my muscles don't keel over and melt before then so it won't be even harder on Thursday. I'm trying to run in the mornings before it gets too warm...which means some mornings I will have to force myself to do it before Luke goes to do some work. Our neighborhood is really hilly though, so that really isn't cool, but I guess the route I'll be doing the 5k probably has hills and how better to train then personal experience. :)

My sister is practically due any day now. I'm soo excited. I can't wait to hold this sweet girl and just get to love her. All of my nephews live 4+ hours from us, so this will be a first to even have the ability to really even get to know her. I'll be so thankful when she's finished baking and I can get a chance to see her! :) I know I'll be waiting at the hospital for her to come out!

Noah's doing much better on potty training! He still is having poopy accidents but almost always stays dry during the day..we got a potty for his room thinking that would help if he needed to go first thing in the morning or during naptime but he's only gone in a couple times so not sure how helpful it really is. Oh well..

Anyways, my hubby is home for the morning and I'm going to spend time with him and make the most of it!

A better way..

To search the internet is by using Swagbucks.com ....I use google.com all the time, but this is far better because you get Swag bucks for every few searches you do, ranging from 5 bucks to 50+...I usually search in the morning till I get one(usually takes me like 1-4 minutes to find the buck banner, and then do it again...depending on how much I get each time it can add up! I'm hoping to accumulate enough points that I can trade them in for Amazon gift cards for Christmas stuff...:) Its free, and super easy to use..

I sound like a commercial don't I..?! haha..But its legit, I assure you.

You can sign up here if you want to (just copy and paste)

Oh my...

Its been a discouraging week. I'm getting the feeling that Noah won't pottytrain till he's in college. Lots of people have said that after 3 they usually just get it, but thats not super encouraging to me because well he's 3, and I'm sick of changing poopy diapers from him. TMI alert-- 'Specially since none of his are ever really solid..so its like changing a baby's diaper instead of just wiping remnants away.-- We've tried getting a little potty, a special seat that goes on the big potty, treats, bribes, heck we've even made a stink out of him NOT going...and we've praised his efforts like we're at the Superbowl cheering on our favorite team. Its discouraging only because Noah honestly doesn't seem to give a rip about him being dirty, He'll walk around with his pull up down to his knees until I change it...When I put underwear on him, he rarely has peepee accidents but refuses and throws tantrums to sit on the potty and I don't know if its just a battle of wills that needs to be dealt with or if he's afraid of it for some reason...and poops..well he's soo unpredictable about when he'll go I can't even plan for those. I get that boys are supposed to be harder to train, but gee...this is crazy. Maybe I'm just not being consistant enough, or giving him enough fluids that he has to go enough while training to reinforce things. Plus, he tends to pee or poop on his bed/carpet floor if I leave underwear on him for naps and bedtime so I end up having to put pull-ups back on him for those and I feel like thats undermining any progress we make during the day.

To top it off..Kate's not only teething, but I've realized my milk supply has taken an extreme nose dive...which has made for a super hungry baby...I used to be so judgemental about moms who had low milk supply thinking "just nurse your baby more often..you know, supply and demand"...but it isn't that easy...or at least it hasn't been for me. Its hard to watch your baby be extrememly fussy knowing she JUST nursed for a long time and is still not happy. Its hard when you end up having to nurse every hour willing your body to please produce something and its hard to try and find extra time and energy pumping between feedings when you've been feeding a baby all day and don't want to attach yourself to another sucking machine, and its hard knowing how easy it would be to give her a bottle and have her be full and happy(even though I'm so NOT pro formula). But she's not gaining weight and hasn't for like 2 months now, so I know she isn't getting enough caloric intake. Sooo...my mom is kindly helping with me some herbs and hopefully with all this extra nursing we can get the supply back up. We've also bumped her babyfood intake up as well and I'm offering her bits of fruits/veggies and pastas throughout the day...she's still nursing the same amount which is encouraging though...I was worried that by introducing more solids into her diet she wouldn't want to nurse anymore and I'd lose some of our nursing relationship..but apparently that isn't the case as she's just as much a booby baby as ever.
