Fighting back..

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been trying to keep things up to date..During our Christmas trip down to T'ville we learned several members of Luke's family were sick. Unfortunately with some sort of stomach thing...we avoided them for a while but hung out Sunday. Saturday night however I started having a stomach ache, went to the bathroom and I felt semi better. Went to bed only to waken at 6:00am to more stomach issues. Spent the most of the morning in the bathroom or laying down...not sure if it was the chinese I had the night before, or germs being passed around T'ville, but I've felt really off in the stomach ever since. I have felt very sick to my stomach the last 2 days, so last night and today I treated myself to some Phenerghan to help ease it up and allow me to eat and give my poor little baby some nutrition. Feeling a hair bit better tonight so I'm praying that tomorrow will be a better day...its hard to be a good mommy when all you feel like doing is curling up into a fetal position and sleeping it all off. I'm trying to fight this to the end...no pun intended..:) I'm going to keep taking my acidopholus to help my poor tummy regulate itself.

My sweet sweet hubby had mercy on me and bought our weekly groceries and brought dinner back too..so at least our evening was easier on me...The kids slept till 9:45 this morning..so I'm praying for another full night of sleep that will help my body heal better.

Be back as soon as I feel better to update on how Christmas and everything went.

Suprises..

Because we don't plan on finding out this time around what we are having, its made it harder for us to chose baby names. When you know what your having, you tend to get ideas easier or something...Luke and I's plan was to pick 2 girl names we liked, and 2 boy names and then chose one out of which one the baby looked like(of that gender catagory...we will NOT be naming a boy girl's names and vice versa..haha..). Luke's perfectly content to tell everyone, but because everyone knew what we were having gender wise before and the name before the poor baby was even born, I want to keep both safe and sound till after baby is born. Its going to be hard..its fun sharing names with people, but I'm happy that we will have doubly the suprise when the time comes. I am soo stinkin excited about not finding out and looking forward to the added incentive while laboring/pushing to get through it and find out what I have been baking for 9-10 months. We've found out with both our kids and I figured what better time NOT to then now since we already have a boy and a girl and it really doesn't matter what we get. I'm just thankful we finally have all 4 of our names chosen..it brings some closure to this section of pregnancy since we aren't finding out the gender.

We had a great weekend..! Yesterday Luke worked in the morning which stunk, but they let them out 30 minutes earlier then normal so that was nice. We enjoyed lunch together, watched the rest of a movie while the kids napped and was generally just lazy. Later that night we went out and got a gift for my Dad for Christmas and some apples which I have been plowing through as my favorite snack right now...came home and ate homemade burritos...yum, yum.

Today we all slept in...my kids have finally figured out that before 9:00 isn't ok with my need for sleep...so they have graciously decided to sleep in themselves. Thank the Lord..literally. Had a lazy morning and Luke went out and took Livvy to go get some stocking stuff for me and firewood since its blissfully cooled down again(in the 20's tonight!). Sweet man came back with hot now Krispy Kreme's(is the man trying to fatten me up?!)..which I could have kissed him for..oh wait. I did...and we ate leftover burritos...kids took a nap while we laid around and I accomplished some knitting on a hat that Liv's been begging me to make every single time I sit down to knit anything. Then Luke and I played DS for a bit before I started dinner. Trinity(the church we occasionally attend and where all our friends are from) has a wonderful program for mother's who've just given birth and they provide meals for like 2 weeks..its insanely awesome..well I signed up to take 2 families dinner tonight since they live in the same neighborhood. Made potato soup and an extra batch of Muddy Buddies to split between the 2 fams, and then we took off to deliver them. Afterwards, we went to The Real Chow Baby to get some take out...I've been literally CRAVING their food for months and we just haven't been over in town or had the money or what not, so we loade our plates with as much as we could and headed home..we skarffed down dinner(with leftovers, yay!) and put the kids down...Luke started a fire and now we are just lazy around. So nice....

Pray all of Luke's gifts come before Wednesday since thats when we are going down to T'ville and I want him to have his gifts.

Thats my long crazy post..sorry! :)

No more shopping for me.

I'm through! We only have to get something for my dad and we are done...but Luke promised he'd handle that since he's more on a man wavelength on what to get him...I wrapped the rest of the gifts they were sitting around for family. I have filled a whole pack-n-play with presents for everyone. I didn't know we had bought so many..haha...and Luke hasn't even started wrapping his even though he's finished buying thankfully. I went to Target this morning, and Wal-mart afterwards to get groceries. It wasn't too bad but I don't want to have to go back before Christmas thats for sure. Taking both the kids out is so tiring for me. Both did pretty well and everything, but getting 2 children in and out of a car several times by myself is tiring in and of itself. I feel like I'll be stuck at home once I have 3 cause I won't know how to handle it all. I'm sure I'll learn, cause I'll have to go somewhere without Luke at some point, but it sucks. I love having the extra set of hands..and we don't plan on having anymore anytime real soon so I'll have a while before we have 4...

Had an OB appointment yesterday. Went fairly well except for Noah pitching a fit for about a minute while the OB lady was in there. Other then that, they were so good which I'm really thankful for. I was seriously stressed out about going with them by myself. Nothing new to report. They did the typical stuff...however, they wouldn't test me seeing as they thought it was just easier to have Luke tested in the long run..so now Luke has to go and get tested for the whole CF thing so we can put it to rest. I'm thinking it will come back neg, since both the kids are healthy. However, you can finally see my belly now when I lay on my back. It sticks up above the flab..haha..

Made Muddy Buddies today...oh my. So good and so easy..thank you Chex! Luke has to work tomorrow...I hate when he does. It so cuts into the weekend...even though its only a half day, its just not the same.

Anyways..off to bathe the children and get them into bed...

Do I have to?

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the OB/GYN's office. I'm not happy about it. The only reason I've even remotely going back is because I want to be tested again for the CF issue..and its just easier to get it done there then having to find a lab to do it. However, the only person who could even remotely drive all this way to watch my kids is leaving to go home for Christmas tomorrow with her family. So I'm stuck with bringing both my children with me to the appointment. My children aren't bad..but being stuck in a small space for any length of time isn't exactly a walk in the park. You just never know how long you'll be there and it sucks. Not to mention, doing all the random things like getting your blood drawn, peeing in a cup, and sitting on a table with the kids just sound like things that aren't possible..haha..I'm praying for grace..and laid back kids.

I'm 16 weeks and 2 days. Still no weight gain which I'm really happy about because I know at this point in both my pregnancies I had gained. I think my body knows I'm a little heavier this time and is taking up fat stores instead of needing to add to them...haha..I'm seriously not trying though which is amazing. I'm eating normally so I'm kind of surprised I haven't packed on 10 by now..

Loved how The Biggest Loser ended last night. While I kind of wish Amy would have won the 100,000. I'm just happy Heba didn't make it to the final 3, cause I think she would have won. Both Luke and I voted for Ed to be in the final 3, mostly to spite Heba who played the game dirty with Vicky the whole time. Apparently most everyone felt the same way..I mean a landslide vote for what they DIDN'T want..haha...nice. Luke and I both wanted Michelle to win, and were soo happy when she did..yay Michelle!! She deserved it..she was never nasty and genuinely cared about losing the weight, not the money.

Can't believe Christmas is so close. It makes me soo stinkin excited just thinking about it. I still have to get my Dad, my nephew Charlie, and Luke needs to finish shopping for me then we are done...Well except for stocking stuff, but thats easy since we do mostly candy...haha..:)

Anyways...my lips are chapped and I need some chapstick..so I'm off!

Busy weekend...

We had a busy weekend...but I loved it. Poor Liv had a fever, but we dealt with that and now its just congestion that is hanging around our family. Worse for the kids, cause they don't really know how to blow their noses very well so not much gets cleared out.

Saturday we had a nice lazy morning..the kids have decided to start sleeping in a little bit more so Luke and I enjoyed sleeping in ourselves. Ate breakfast, got ready slowly, and then met up with Erin, Wesley and Erin's friend Maz at their house to pick them up to go ice skating. Saturday probably wasn't the best time to go busy wise, but we wanted to go...so we did. :) There was a ton of people and there was some sort of convention going on causing multiple teens to be in crazy random costumes...least none scared my kids or anything. Liv was so excited to go but wasn't so crazy about it once she hit the ice and found out its a little harder then it looks. :) She went around a few times and then decided she was done. Noah's too little so we all took turns holding him while everyone else skated. We are so blessed to have such loving family here who love our kids and want to help, even though I hope we never abuse that. Walked over to the CNN building to eat there in their food court, we've never been in there and it was pretty darn cool..then we all headed home. I went shopping at Wal-mart on the way home and picked up a few things for the kids for Christmas while they napped in the car with Luke. Both my Grandma and an Aunt sent Wal-mart gift cards to get gifts for them...so it was nice shopping but not paying anything..haha..could only find a few things I wanted at that wal-mart, so I dropped off the kids and Luke and headed to the other wal-mart close to us...same situation. Wasn't able to find what I was really looking for. Liv wanted a Water Baby and NEITHER Wal-mart had any....must be popular! So I decided to stop in at Toys R Us and get her one and finally be done shopping for them. Made it home, we ate a leftover dinner and sent the kids to bed. Luke played on the Xbox for a while and then we watched SNL...which was semi funny...mostly due to the fact that Maya was back on for "The Bronx Beat" skit which I love..Then to sleep..

Sunday we didn't do much at all actually...most of our busy was on Saturday. I love days that nothing is planned and you can just chill...we played some Hand And Foot while watching the Bucs/Falcons game since we knew that Erin and her gang would be there at the game and it'd be cool to know what was going on. It was a good game, and I'm happy to say Falcon's won the victory. We had a nice pasta dinner with asparagus, and Liv and I made Spritz cookies. Luke went out and got a Gingerbread house kit and we had fun putting that together last night while watching the Surviver Finale, which I was happy about how it ended...

Luke is back to 9 hour days this week..I guess in preparation of Christmas break..it stinks, but its life. I'm on a mission today to accomplish a few cleaning projects. My vacuum isn't sucking anymore from the actual brush vacuuming part...only the hose. So I got down on my hands and knees today and vacuumed a bunch of pine needles up...I couldn't stand looking at them anymore. Went through all our shoes in our shoe closet, threw a bunch away that weren't worth keeping, put ones that were gender neutral away for Noah later, and put a couple pairs away to give to Carol with some clothes we aren't using anymore. Now everything fits nicely back into the shoe closest without things falling out..haha...Cleaning off the dining room table next...then probably my computer desk which seems to acrue random crap throughout the week. :)

Hope everyone had a good weekend and having a good start to their week! :)

I think my cat has lost it..

We've NEVER had a problem with the cat...its always been our string of dogs that have caused problems. Till like 2 months ago and the cat started pooping right outside her litterbox...we figured she'd just marked it and cleaned the area well, and made sure her box was clean so she wouldn't mind going in to go potty. Now she's just going in random places... for no good reason. Never usually the same place. Last night was the straw that broke the camels back for me..she went in my OFFICE CHAIR!!! ..ugh..and being preggo its super nasty to even think of cat poo even having been on my chair. Thankfully my DH cares enough for my health to sterilize the area, but still...gross. I'm at a loss as to what to do with the cat though....thinking I may talk to the vet and see what they say. Its like the cat just gave up on caring where she went...which is so weird for cats.

Ever since Noah got sick, he's been throwing sooo many tantrums. For any one who knows Noah, he's so calm and laid back and doesn't get worked up that easily, and is easily calmed back down even if he does....now he's throwing them like once an hour it seems. I'm sure his sister doesn't help, she seems to enjoy doing things that irk him, but still. Its tiring and I really want my sweet kid back..on top of it, he's staying clingy like when he was sick...which causes more tantrums if I can't sit there and hold him for 20 minutes at a time....Lord give me grace Father..

Another few gifts down on the list....only a few more to go. No bills next week, so we should be able to get everyone finished up next week...yay!! My Christmas tree fell down yesterday and it sucks cause my vacuum that we've had since the beginning of our marriage I think has decided to not work anymore despite Luke trying his best to fix it. Its served well over the years, but it sucks to think about having to get a new one, and heck, I've got kids..its not like the floor suddenly doesn't get dirty when the vacuum isn't working. Soo...now I have bits of food, paper(the dog likes books..) and pine needles all over my living room floor...its driving me crazy. .

Trying to lower my groceries costs...so I've been making lists around the buy one get one free's they do at Publix. I know I won't use 2 speghetti sauces in one week, but if I buy 2, then I get 2 free, and thats 3 more meals I won't have to buy sauce for. Juicy Juice was a BOGOF last week, so I got 4 bottles..cause I know we'll go through that quickly. We normally go with some sort of capri sun for the kids to have for lunches, but this week Juicy Juice boxes are BOGOF, so sorry kids, no capri sun...gotta go with what's for sale. :) It makes me proud when I can lower it...I even use coupons when I can find ones we'll use..Hey mac and cheese is on sale for 50 cents a box...(the kraft kind)...so for a cheap dinner this week, I can feed my family for 1.00 this week..:)

Alright..'nough of me today...plus Noah's wanting to sit with me and that makes it hard to type.

New keyboard..

So the other night I was sitting here playing a game and when I went to get out of it(I usually downsize and play later), the keyboard wouldn't work and low and behold, there was Lola(the dog) sitting there chewing on our keyboard cord. Ugh..She chews on lots of things, but never to the point of total distruction....so unfortunately I had to go brave Best Buy and buy and new one. Who knew keyboards were so dang expensive?!

15 weeks as of yesterday! I feel soo happy knowing I'm only 5 weeks from being 20..and 20 is the beautiful half way point. 5 weeks goes by quickly I've learned...Only pregnancy complaint I've had is I've started feeling pain in the front of my pelvic bone like its splitting. I had it the last 3-4 months of my pregnancy with Noah, so I'm amazed its bothering me this early...We are praying it away, and since we have insurance this go around, I'll probably stop in and see a chiropractor and see if he can help too. I do NOT want to spend the rest of my pregnancy in pain.

Went and bought our Christmas tree this past Saturday. I needed the house to feel more Christmas like and it just wasn't. So..even though we ALWAYS go cut one down, all the farms here that do that are like 45 miles from us..and we hate to drive all that way and maybe not find what we are looking for. So we went to Lowes(and Home Depot) to try and find our first already cut tree. Thankfully it didn't take us too long...its a different type of tree then we normally get, but its pretty all in all. Had fun decorating with Erin+Wesley and the kids...then we had a nice big dinner of meatloaf and mash potatoes. No veggies....not sure how that happened. I guess I was too excited about the tree. :)

Few more gifts down on the Christmas shopping list. Its still long sadly, but not too bad. We have to wait till Friday to get anymore, and Luke hasn't even started on me. My problem is I just want Christmas to be so perfect, and to me perfect means I can watch people open gifts and have it take longer then like 2 minutes...so cutting back on gifts for each other this year is slightly sad..but needed. The kids will still love what we give them, so I guess its just me who needs to get over it.

Looking forward to t.v. tonight! I really love Tuesday night t.v.....specifically- Fringe and Biggest Loser.

Bought Christmas cards today. Its always a matter of where to stop because honestly you could send them to a bajillion people. So just distant people or family that doesn't see us much that are getting them..haha..:) I'll scan one and post it just for everyone else's sake..but you can't beat the fact that I bought 15, ordered them from Wal-mart online and they are ready in an hour for me to pick up all for 6.20, and they come with envelopes too! :)

Christmas needs to find me..

Its not feeling festive enough around here. I'm so excited about getting a tree, and even though it will be enjoyable to keep up the tradition and get the kids in on it, it will be so weird to go without my parents this year. We've done our trees together every year...so this will be sad. Mom, Dad..wanna come up next weekend to buy a tree?? :) I only have one box of Christmas decorations. But its just enough to add touches throughout the house...I need more, but all in good timing. The tree is really my happy place around Christmas...Tonight as I write I'm sitting listening to Micheal Buble sing "I'll be Home for Christmas"...thanks to Pandora Radio...who knew that I could actually choose what I want to hear on the radio?! :)

Had my first homebirth midwife meeting today. I got to know her through Carol's birth and really really liked her. Seeing as I didn't think Mom would make it in time, I decided to go with someone here. I loved that she's flexible and is allowing us to see her when Luke's able to come..SOOO stinkin nice to have help with the kids even though they play with her toys most of the time. Puts me more at ease with the hubs there..plus she only lives like 15 minutes from us..so thats so much nicer then driving the 30+ for most other places.

So my OB office calls me yesterday and says that one of my genetic tests came back as a positive for me being a Cystic Fibrosis carrier. Not sure where the heck that came from since its NOT an issue in our family for a long long ways back. Anyways, since I wasn't tested with my prior pregnancies and both my kids are totally a.ok. I'm having them retest me to make sure its not an error...if its still positive, we'll have Luke tested to be sure he's not a carrier either. Be praying for a negative for me!! Appointment is in a couple weeks..

A couple more gifts down on the long list of them to buy....thankfully my in laws aren't hard people to buy for. Now on to my family..:)

Why is it?

That when you've done a ton of things you can't get around to actually blogging about it, but when there isn't anything to report, you find stuff to say? So weird..

14 weeks preggo today. Makes me happy...even though I've had 2 healthy pregnancies since, our first pregnancy was a miscarriage and I'm still somewhat reluctant till we reach the 12 week point..and I know that every week I am pregnant is just that much sweeter. Thank the Lord..
Lost another lbs. and a half...even over the holiday's. I'm SERIOUSLY not dieting at all..and by now I'd have gained a bit..its interesting. I'll be watching it to make sure I don't keep losing..Trying to eat well and get my protein in each meal.

We went to Thomasville for the holiday's and really enjoyed it. We drove down Wed. night and made it there not too late. Noah woke up from his nap on Wed. coughing some..didn't think much of it..and we prayed some about it. Thursday we all headed to Valdosta to spend Thanksgiving lunch with my Grandmother Sanders and that side of the family. I seriously love my cousins and have such a awesome time hanging out with such sweet girls who never cease to make me laugh. Noah wasn't himself...but no apparent fever. Went to my other Grandmothers and Grandfather's house and spent a little time with them before heading home...by the time we got back, we knew Noah was off...so we took his temp and it was almost 104...poor thing. Into the tub he went with a nice dose of Tylenol...he ran fever off and on all weekend poor kid. I feel bad cause he's SUCH a happy kid and I feel our families missed out on seeing the real Noah, the little boy who makes me so proud. Thankfully Liv made up for it and was the star of the show..

Friday, Mom, Susan and I all went to Tallehasse...I needed to get some clothes for the kids and Once Upon A Child seemed to call my name...I love a good deal..:) Sadly..the store got bought out and it seemed the selection was limited..Mom found a great deal for something Raquel was looking for, so thats good. Decided to eat lunch..went to Broken Egg...yummy. Then headed to Old Navy and while I don't like black friday shopping, we sure got some great deals. I'd say more then half the store was 50% off...so I scored lots of goodies there and now my kids actually have winter clothes which is great, since its FREEZING here now. Came back..and enjoyed the afternoon at home. That evening Luke and I went to Wal-mart..and laughed at how southern it was..but enjoyed it all the same. Played cards with Erin and Wesley(plus parents) that evening and stunk. Oh well..rematch at Christmas! :)

Saturday we spent the morning just chilling and hanging with Dustin and Kristen for a bit. Gee I love them, then headed to the big Fletcher dinner that evening. We had lots of fun and I gain new appreciation for them every time. Came back and enjoyed more cards...something I really love about my family is we really love playing games together.

Sunday we just chilled and then enjoyed a very yummy thanksgiving meal with my parents, and Erin and Wesley. Then hung for a bit and got ready, then came home. We left at 3:00, and didn't get home till a little past 8:30...how freakin' sad. The traffic was crazy and with two sick kids(oh yeah, Liv got it the day before we left)..it wasn't the most fun trip. Why did I think to only bring 2 movies?! While I LOVE my family and miss them literally daily, I'm proud to say, it really felt like coming home this time. I love my things, my bed and all the things that make my home, mine. However, I know I'm counting the days till our Christmas trip down..haha..:)

Luke's back to 8 hours days this week. Its such a blessing..specially after our long break, I was dreading the going back to reality thing. But when he's coming home at 4:00 every day..its a nice transition.

Long enough?! :)

Not sure why I don't get notifications when people comment on my blog, but I'm happy to finally know people are commenting. haha..here I was thinking, no one was even reading it! Maybe I'll click around and see if I can find a "send notification" type button.

Forgot to mention that Saturday I went to Toys R Us to start some Christmas shopping for the kids and it was crazy busy. Its exciting to know the holidays are so close but we got started so late on shopping, that I'm a little stressed at how much I still need to buy before the big day. Almost finished with kid stuff except a few small things and their stockings. Then I start on Luke...then the rest of our family. In years past, getting presents was soo important to me...and while I still love getting them, I've discovered that GIVING presents seriously makes me like 3 times happier then getting them. I love watching people open their gifts.. I love being able to get people things they really wanted and will appreciate. I love putting thought and time into what I buy for people..its just something that means so much more to me now.

Speaking of holiday's..this lady has a blog(not just for holiday's, but its centered on that right now) and I just LOVE her recipes. We've tried out some and really enjoy them. Her picture by picture step through process of a recipe is soo great for me since I learn so much better when its visual ... She updates all the times with new recipe's, so check back often!! :) (The Pioneer Woman)

Happy Sunday.

Trying to blog more cause one day I may look back and really enjoy reading what our lives were like with only 2 kids. :)

Today I actually got to sleep in. Past 9:00...so nice. All without waking to go potty...which seems more often then not these days. Had a nice lazy breakfast with the fam and played around the house till lunch when we decided that a trip to the Farmer's Market was in order. Luke ate the last of the onion bagles we got last week and I was craving a bagle sandwich for lunch..so we made our way over there, bought bagles, tangerines, grapes, a loaf of pumpernickle bread for Luke, and some talapia fillets for dinner tomorrow night. Got home, ate our lunches nice and lazily, and put the kids down for a nap. Luke and I cleaned up cause our realtor wanted to drop off a pecan pie since we didn't make it to a "Client appreciation" party he had yesterday. He's such a sweet guy, however we expected him much earlier then he came. Oh well..

Played Mario Kart with Luke on the DS's for a bit, Luke won. Typical..then we watched Casino Royal, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Still not sure about the new guy..:) Decided to start dinner, made a green bean cassarole(craving thanksgiving much Kayla?), brown rice and a pot roast. So yummy...realtor finally came and enjoyed a helping of green bean cassarole before leaving...now we are just enjoying the evening. Its 9:32 and my kids are still up....its late for them, but maybe it will make them sleep in tomorrow. haha..:)

All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good day! I think knowing I only have to make it to Wednesday before Luke has a nice long break really helps my outlook on this week.

Crazy day..!

So I had my ultrasound. My awesome friend Carol got up and had her kids ready and at my house by 9:15..she's super woman. :) Go out to my car and my car won't start. We've had battery trouble the last couple of days and just haven't had the time to take it in. Figures it wouldn't start when you have to get somewhere on time. Fortunately, Carol had jumper cables and knew how to use them, bless her. Got the car started and I was off...got there, waited 10 minutes in the waiting room, taken back for my ultrasound...got in there, only got a 5 minute one with no "here's a foot" type of thing and only one picture. I know it was just a dating ultrasound, but still. I was disappointed.. No due date change like I was thinking would happen...but at least I know how far along I am exactly now. Got the lovely PAP, and then went to get my blood drawn for the screening. She stuck me and took one vial of blood, then took the needle out..I made the remark that that was the least I'd ever seen them take for that type of screening and she was like "Oh, I thought you were here for a beta draw"...no..ma'am...I know I'm preggo..:)
So she had to stick me again..at least she did it in the other arm so one wasn't bruised up...

Anyways...got a brief nap today which was nice. I guess Carol tired the kids out enough..Luke came home, we went to Target and bought some MUCH needed pj's for the kids. Poor Noah's still wearing his 12 month ones and they are soo stinkin tiny on him. So we spurged and bought them 4 pairs each. Its not enough for what they really need, but its a start and I'm hoping to find some good used ones soon. (We also got a pair of jumper cables for my car, because I didn't have a set and thats scary seeing as the trouble we've had with it recently.).

Picked up Chik-fil-a for dinner and played with the kids for a while before we put them down for bed. We cozied up on the couch and were watching Survivor: Gabon when I look out the window and see emergency lights....I ask Luke to get up and see what it is..he's busy watching t.v. and doesn't really hear me, when I look out our window again and see not only orange coming up but TONS of smoke. I start yelling fire to Luke and we run to the door to see 2 fire trucks on our street and the house directly across from us on FIRE...It was crazy. We could feel the heat at our front door. Liv prayed it wouldn't touch our house and Luke and I prayed there was no one inside the house. The firefighters took their sweet time getting the water going and didn't start spraying till like 20 minutes after they got there. Not a reassuring feeling if it was ever our house. We apparently need another hydrant on our street cause they had to run it all the way down the street..and had to wait for another truck to get there to make the hose long enough. Meanwhile the house is burning. Luke and I are watching in horror as windows are blowing and things are literally exploding from the house. Thankfully once they got started it didn't take them but about 20 minutes to have most of it out and only a few flickers remained. No one knew if anyone was home till the lady who lived there's cousin came and she hung out with us while they dealt with it all. Fortunately she said everybody was in NY and we all sighed a sigh of relief that no one was hurt. The cousin's daughter came in our house and we watched the news for a while waiting for the Mom to be able to go in the house and retrieve all she could that was important. It was crazy and we were up much later then we would have liked, but its hard to sleep when there are lights and the noise of a rumbling firetruck practically in our drive way.

Anyways..made for an interesting night. Not sure who got kicked off Survivor, and we missed The Office, but its ok. I'm glad the day is over...

Luke doesn't have to work on Saturday this week! Makes me so happy..and Livvy. She's always begging him not to go to work..

Anyways..its been a long enough blog. Praying today there are no fires. :)

Ultrasound..and stuff.

Thursday I have my first ultrasound. It was supposed to be 4 weeks ago but due to insurance red tape, we weren't able to. I was soo bummed, but at least I'll have a bigger baby to see instead of a blob. :) I'm thinking I'm further along then we thought, so I'm interested to see if thats true. We don't plan on finding out this time, and even though I know its early, we could tell with Noah at 14 weeks, and I'll be almost 13 according to my dating, and not an updated one, so I'm going to make sure the tech knows to NOT show me any goods shots, cause I've gotten pretty good at seeing that type of thing on the screen as ultrasounds kind of fascinate me. :)

This will be the first one I go to alone. Luke has always been with me but him getting off just doesn't work this time, so I'm going by myself. Its sad that I can't enjoy it, and usually we get a tape of it so he could watch, but I don't know how the new office is, so I guess I'll have to call and find out and see if they do anything besides snap shots. I also feel really blessed to have made it this far and NOT put on a single pound either. In fact, I've lost. I know I'll probably make up for it, but since I started out a little fluffier this time around, I'm trying to watch portion sizes and make heathier choices like fruits and the such when I am feeling munchy. Apparently its working. Hoping I can keep it up...I feel like I'm eating all the time, but I guess as long as its healthy we are just breaking even. :) Now that I'm kind of past the "worry" zone of before 12 weeks, I think I'll start walking/jogging(no running) on my treadmill again. I'm trying to get over the fact that I WILL indeed have to put on weight for a healthy baby, but I'd like to only put on what baby needs and not all the excess.

Had Erin and Wesley over on Sunday. It was so fun..we really love having them over and they seem to enjoy playing games with us which is nice since a lot of our other friends aren't as into games as we are.

Luke got a "new" boss this week. Its one he's had before as apparently his company likes to move management around..but he's really cool and much better then the last one, and doesn't really like working 9 hour days, so this week he's been on 8's. It makes the day so much easier knowing he'll be home at 4. We need to grocery shop tonight..I'm not looking forward to it. Usuall I don't mind, but today I don't feel like thinking out sales, menu's and what not..I try and be frugal now, but it takes brain power...and today I don't feel like I have any. I might be make lazy meals this week.

Tonight is my favorite t.v. night outside of Thursday which has The Office and Surviver: Gabon...but anyways..tonight is Biggest Loser(my faveeeee!!) and Fringe. A new weird sci-fi type show created by J.J. Abrams(the guy who does LOST). Its crazy and weird, and sometimes gory. But somehow I'm sucked in..its also really funny sometimes.

See ya later Xanga..

Ok, I admit, I'm not a hardcore blogger by anymeans, but I've been fedup with Xanga for quite some time and apparently all the cool people have blogger blogs..so here I am. While I may not write all the time, this will be my new resting place for random thought, mundane life details and ranting and raving.

I LOVE reading blogs and find that a good 30-45 minutes of my day is spent in reading several different people's. For some reason I'm drawn to the tragic ones..haha..This woman's blog had made me laugh and cry. She lost her daughter Audrey about 6 months ago due to issues with development. This woman may not know me, but her honesty and faith in the Lord encourage me like rain on a dessert floor. I think seeing people in real life apply the word of the Lord to their daily lives almost means more to me then any sermon ever could. (Bring the Rain)

This woman doesn't know me either, but I've gotten so wrapped up in her story that I feel as if we are best friends. How sad..haha..She adopted her son from Russia, and has had heartbreak with 5 miscarriages and has just TODAY had an adopted daughter be born to them. They have been able to go and see her, and I rejoice with them as they welcome her into their lives. (Our Journey of Love)

And this father had his wife die 27 hours after their premature daughter was born. She wasn't even able to see their daughter before she passed. Its him just telling it like it is...warning there are some cuss words in his blog. (Matt, Liz, and Madeline)

So, anyways..I've given you a peep into what I read during the day..:) More later, I'm sure..
